The Business Development Trainee will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of growth opportunities within and between organizations. This role is designed to train and develop future business development professionals through hands-on experience in various facets of the business development process. The trainee will work closely with senior team members and participate in activities that drive business expansion, market penetration, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive landscapes. Analyze data to inform strategic business decisions.
- Lead Generation: Identify and generate new business leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and digital marketing.
- Client Relationship Management: Assist in maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Sales Support: Support the sales team with administrative tasks, proposal preparation, and follow-up activities. Help coordinate and prepare materials for sales presentations.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning sessions and contribute to the development of business plans and growth strategies.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all business development activities and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Training and Development: Participate in training programs to enhance business development skills, including sales techniques, negotiation, and project management.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing and attending business events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company and its products/services.


- Education: Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous internship or work experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related area is preferred.


- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of CRM software and sales principles.
