DevOps Engineer Job (Part time/Remote)

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and optimize continuous integration and deployment pipelines for a seamless transition from development to production
2. Manage and monitor cloud infrastructures, ensuring efficient performance and high availability
3. Implement automation tools for efficient scaling and management of resources
4. Ensure security best practices are in place across all cloud services
5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev and production environments
6. Collaborate with development teams to enhance infrastructure, based on requirements and traffic predictions
7. Document development processes, system operations, and configurations

Education experience and skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
2. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
3. Proficient with cloud services, specifically AWS and Digital Ocean
4. Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github actions, GitLab)
5. Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
6. Familiarity with Spring boot & Spring cloud
7. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python
8. Understanding of network layers, security practices, and database management.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desired Skills:

1. Certifications in AWS or other cloud technologies
2. Experience with performance monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
3. Prior work with agile methodologies and open-source tools
4. Strong communication and team collaboration skills
