About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Laravel framework
2. Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
3. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices
4. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards
5. Optimize application performance and scalability through code refactoring and optimization techniques
6. Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to technical challenges
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in PHP and Laravel development
8. Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth
9. Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives
10. Collaborate with the QA team to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance of developed features
11. Contribute to architectural decisions and provide technical leadership within the development team

Other requirements

2+ years of professional experience in PHP development

Strong proficiency in the Laravel framework, with a deep understanding of its core principles and ecosystem

Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery

Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)

Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development

Experience with version control systems such as Git

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities

Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus

Contributions to open-source projects or participation in developer communities is a plus
