Key responsibilities:
1. Develop, test, and maintain web applications using Django
2. Create and optimize RESTful APIs for front-end consumption
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and front-end developers, to deliver high-quality solutions
4. Write reusable, testable, and efficient code while following best coding practices
5. Testing your own code in accordance with the business use-case and mitigate all types of bugs that might occur
6. Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc., ensuring high performance and data integrity
7. Debug and troubleshoot issues, performing code reviews to ensure scalability and security
8. Participate in agile development processes like daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
9. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and integrate them into operations and activities
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting
2. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
3. 1+ year of hands-on experience in Django development
4. Strong knowledge of Python programming and familiarity with its ecosystem
5. Experience with Django ORM and REST framework (DRF)
6. Experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL/MySQL
7. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (basic front-end skills are a plus)
8. Knowledge of version control systems like Git
9. Basic understanding of deployment pipelines (CI/CD), Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, etc.) is a plus
