About the job

Key responsibilities:

a. Front-end:

1. Track merchandising performance, including sales, profit, and return on investment.
2. Maintain constant communication with the store manager and merchandisers
3. Being prompt in reordering stock when levels appear low, and arranging for return and credit for damaged products.
4. Work closely with department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximize sales.
5. Maintain awareness of competitors' performance and gather information on customers' reactions to products.
6. Perform basic duties with new and existing merchandise, including price changes, tagging, ad sets, and shelving arrangements.
7. Ensure priority on collections for launch.
8. Establish strong supplier/vendor relationships.
9. Plan pre-launch promos, fashion week launches, and a calendar of events with various departments.
10. Provide a road map for promotions to the marketing team in conjunction with a digital merchandiser.
11. Think creatively/ outside the box to identify new business opportunities and category expansion ideas.

13. Identify fashion trends and target markets, conduct market research, and gather customer feedback from the store employees.
14. Identify buying trends, establish merchandise categories, and develop product assortments.
15. Research and analyze competitor products and seasonable trends & pricing to ensure that merchandise is priced competitively.
16. Respond promptly to price and product inquiries from sales associates/managers/CRM.

b. Back-end:

1. Implement merchandising requirements within established budgets.
2. Provide monthly merchandising requirements with budgets
3. Maintain product knowledge, including pricing, inventory levels, and levels of service.
4. Liaise with CRM to get an understanding of customer queries and product inquiries.
5. Track merchandising performance, including sales, profit, and return on investment.
6. Plan product ranges and prepare sales and stock plans.
7. Submit monthly MIS reports with an action plan for product performance.
8. Ensure thorough order processing and timely client deliveries along with regular client updates.
9. Provide timely and accurate feedback to designers.
10. Liaise with the inventory team to ensure thorough QC and timely shipment of stock for the UK and India.
