About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
2. Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results.
3. Analyse financial information and summarize the financial status.
4. Identify errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and reduce spending.
5. Provide technical support and advice to the Management Accountant.
6. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
7. Manage accounting assistants and accountants.
8. Coordinate with the head accountant.
9. Participate in setting financial standards and the forecasting process.
10. Provide input into the department's goal-setting process.
11. Prepare financial statements and produce the budget according to schedule.
12. Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
13. Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
14. Plan, assign, and review the team's work.
15. Support junior team members in preparing month-end and year-end reports and closing processes.
16. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
17. Ensure compliance with GAAP(Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
18. Evaluate financial operations to recommend best practices, identify issues, strategize solutions, and help organizations run efficiently.
19. Guide and lead the team to provide accurate services.

Who can apply

1. Candidates with minimum 2 years of experience.

Other requirements

1. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise teams effectively.

2. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables) and accounting software.

3. In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping and financial reporting procedures.

4. Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures, principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.

5. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.

6. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

7. Strong time-management skills.

8. Experience in maintaining confidentiality and handling data in accordance with standard digital security methods.

9. Passionate about excelling in the role and motivating the team.
