You will be responsible for arranging text and images in a visually appealing manner. Your role will involve collaborating with editors, designers, and clients to ensure accurate and attractive layout designs that meet project requirements and deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
1. Typesetting: Arrange text, graphics, and images in a layout using typesetting software (e.g., Adobe InDesign).
2. Formatting: Ensure consistent formatting, spacing, and alignment of text and images according to project specifications.
3. Proofreading: Review layouts to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with editors, designers, and clients to understand project requirements and make necessary adjustments.
5. Quality assurance: Ensure accuracy and quality of final designs before production or publication.
6. Adaptability: Adapt designs based on feedback from clients, editors, or designers to meet their preferences and expectations.
7. Deadline management: Complete typesetting projects within specified deadlines.
1. Candidates with minimum 1 years of experience.
1. Proven experience as a typesetter or in a similar role with proficiency in typesetting software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress).
2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in layout design and proofreading.
3. Ability to creatively arrange text and images for effective visual communication.
4. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
5. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
6. A portfolio demonstrating previous typesetting work and design projects is preferred.
7. A degree or certification in graphic design, typography, or a related field is advantageous but not required.
