About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement game features using Unity engine with a focus on multiplayer gaming.
2. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in C#.
3. Optimize games for performance and memory usage across various platforms (mobile, desktop, console).
4. Design and develop multiplayer systems for player-to-player interactions.
5. Implement real-time networking, matchmaking, and synchronization of game states across multiple players.
6. Work with networking protocols such as Photon, Mirror, UNet, or other multiplayer frameworks.
7. Work closely with game designers, UI/UX teams, and backend developers to integrate multiplayer features.
8. Participate in regular code reviews and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
9. Collaborate on the design and implementation of game logic, user interfaces, and artificial intelligence for non-player characters (NPCs).
10. Write unit and integration tests to ensure robust multiplayer functionalities.
11. Address and resolve networking and synchronization issues to ensure a seamless player experience.
12. Continuously improve and add new features to multiplayer systems based on user feedback and emerging technologies.
13. Ensure scalable solutions that can support increasing numbers of simultaneous players.
14. Troubleshoot and debug multiplayer systems to ensure smooth real-time player interactions.

1. Proficiency with Unity game engine and its various features with strong understanding of C# programming language for game development.

2. 2-4 years of experience building multiplayer games.

3. Game optimization: Experience with performance optimization for both online and offline game modes.

4. Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.

5. Experience with matchmaking systems, leaderboards, social features, and in-game economy.

6. Understanding of game physics, rendering pipelines, and real-time multiplayer design patterns.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Nice to have: familiarity with backend services like PlayFab, AWS GameLift, or similar services for multiplayer gaming.

9. Nice to have: Knowledge of cloud hosting solutions for multiplayer servers.

10. Nice to have: Computer engineering or computer science or it engineering qualification.

11. Candidate must have knowledge and work experience of multiplayer gaming and sockets.

12. Knowledge of Photon, Mirror and UNet Multiplayer frameworks.
