Video/Audio Editor - YouTube Job

We are looking for a detail-oriented 'Video/Audio Editor' to manage post-production for podcasts and YouTube content. The role requires technical expertise in video and audio editing, with a strong focus on creating high-quality, engaging content. The ideal candidate will work closely with directors to ensure that each project is professionally produced, visually appealing, and aligned with the creative vision.

Key Responsibilities:

I. Video Editing
1. Edit raw footage based on scripts, cutting scene by scene to maintain pacing and visual coherence.
2. Integrate assets, special effects, and transitions to enhance the visual aesthetic and storytelling.

II. Audio Editing
1. Refine audio to ensure clarity, eliminate background noise, and maintain consistent levels.
2. Use background music and sound effects strategically to complement and enhance the content without distractions.

III. Graphics & Text Integration
1. Incorporate animated text, titles, lower thirds, icons, and infographics to improve viewer engagement and clarify key points.
2. Ensure all graphics align with brand standards and visual aesthetics.

IV. Tone & Engagement
1. Maintain a professional, clear, and engaging tone in the final product, ensuring consistency throughout.
2. Ensure pacing and flow retain the audience's attention and keep the content coherent and engaging.

V. Collaboration with Directors and Production Team
1. Work closely with directors to understand the creative vision and ensure editing decisions align with the overall goals.
2. Revise edits as needed based on feedback while adhering to deadlines.

Experience:
1. 2-4 years in professional video and audio editing, ideally for podcasts or YouTube content.
2. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality, polished content.

Required Skills:
1. Editing Software Proficiency: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
2. Graphics & Visual Effects: Proficiency in creating animated text, titles, and infographics.
3. Sound Design: Strong skills in mixing and mastering audio, using tools like Adobe Audition or Pro Tools.
4. Creative Judgment: Strong attention to detail with the ability to enhance content visually and audibly.

Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in film production, media arts, audio/visual communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
