About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Plan, organize, and execute events such as awareness programs, collaborative programs, workshops, and fundraisers.
2. Coordinate with healthcare professionals, caregivers, and patients to provide support services and activities.
3. Manage the society's social media accounts, website, and newsletter communications.
4. Support drafting proposals for fundraising, grants, and other financial resources.
5. Provide administrative support to the board of directors and other key members of the society.
6. Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documents as required by the executive council.
7. Ensure compliance with local regulations and laws related to the organization.
8. Facilitate team meetings, record minutes, and follow up on action items.
9. Oversee daily administrative tasks, including responding to emails and expression of interest responses.
10. Maintain accurate records of society members, donors, and volunteers.
11. Handle correspondence and ensure timely communication with all stakeholders.

Other requirements
1. Demonstrate proven experience in event coordination, finance, fundraising, and volunteer management.
2. Showcase proven experience in administrative roles, preferably in the healthcare or non-profit sector.
3. Exhibit strong communication skills in both English and Tamil (verbal and written).
4. Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic accounting software.
5. Manage social media platforms and perform basic website maintenance.
6. Demonstrate the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work independently.
7. Exhibit excellent organizational and time-management skills.
8. Show empathy and sensitivity toward individuals with dementia and their families.

About Alzheimer's And Related Disorders Society Of India - Coimbatore Chapter
Alzheimer's and Related Disorders Society of India (ARDSI) was established in 1992. We are India's largest group working to create a dementia-friendly society. As a registered non-profit organization, we work in 20-plus cities across India. People with dementia need our care and support. We have been able to directly reach out to over 10-12 thousand patients and their families through our variety of services.
At ARDSI - Coimbatore chapter, we strive to organize training for mental health professionals and caregivers, organize and conduct awareness campaigns and support group meetings, support dementia care centers, and memory clinics, support research initiatives, etc., reaching hundreds of families struggling with Alzheimer's Disease.
