To learn how to investigate a road accident, starting from crash notification and crash scene management to gathering inputs on the field at the scene of the crash.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Receiving crash notifications and managing the notification log
2. Conducting on-site crash investigations in a professional and safe manner
3. Collecting data at the accident site (on field) in the form of notes, photographs, videos, etc.
4. Creating a scene diagram based on the information ascertained at the scene
5. Collecting data from, coordinating with, and interviewing government authorities, medical informants, victims, and their kin
6. Analyzing crash data to determine contributing factors influencing accidents and injuries
7. Resizing, renaming, and rearranging pictures in a proper format as per specification
8. Creating scene diagrams using PC crash software
9. Coding data in databases, including RASSI database and other databases maintained by JPRI
Only those candidates can apply who:
1. are available for full time (in-office) internship
2. can start the internship between 18th Jul'24 and 22nd Aug'24
3. are available for duration of 6 months
4. are from or open to relocate to Ahmedabad, Kolkata and neighboring cities
5. have relevant skills and interests
1. Pursuing diploma/bachelor’s degree in B.Tech/B.E in
2. Mechanical/automobile/automotive
3. 0- 12 months of experience in automobile or related industry
