Q. I have forgotten my password. How do I reset it?

A. While logging-in, just click on ‘Forgot Password’ and then enter your registered email address. We will send you a link to reset your password to your registered email address and then you can enter the new password.


Q. I am not able to find my degree while updating my educational details.

A. Please note that it is not mandatory to select your stream from the drop-down menu. You can write whichever stream you want in the stream section and then click on Save or Update. For eg. - Select your degree from the drop-down menu as Master of Arts (M.A.) and write your stream as Ancient History.

If you are still not able to find your degree in the drop-down menu then, please drop a query here regarding the same.

Note: Even if you are still pursuing the degree, mention it in your profile. In the ‘end year’ write the probable year in which you will be graduating.


Q. I am not able to find a particular skill that I have while updating my resume.

A. If a skill that you want to add to your resume is not available in the ‘Skills’ section then please drop a query here regarding the same and we will look into the feasibility of adding that particular skill to our list. Also, in the meantime, you can add any relevant detail in the ‘Additional Skills’ section.


Q. I have found internship of my choice on Internshala. But how to apply for it?

A. You can apply for the internships using the following steps-

  • After you find an internship of your choice, click on "View Details" to get details about the company and the internship.
  • Go through the details thoroughly and apply for the internship if your profile matches the requirements of the company.

  • If already a registered user, click on "Apply Now" and follow the mentioned steps to submit your application.

  • If not registered, please register at this link- https://internshala.com/registration/student, and then follow the above process.


Q. I want to edit my answer after submitting the application. How to do it?

A. An application once submitted cannot be edited or canceled back. We would suggest you review the answers properly before submitting it in future.


Q. I have been hired for an internship through Internshala. How do I get my Certificate of Selection?

A. Internshala issues a Certificate of Selection after 7 days of getting hired. It can be downloaded from your 'Applications'. In case your application status has not been updated to 'Hired' then, please write to us regarding the same and also attach the Offer Letter of the internship so that we can update your application status and then, you will be able to download the Certificate of Selection after 7 days. 


Q. I want to change/update my email address linked to my Internshala account.

A. Follow the steps given below to change your email id- 

  1. For web users

    1. Click on ‘change email id’ option

    2. Type your new email id in the box

    3. After this, a verification mail is sent to the new id and an alert mail on the new id

    4. After verifying, you will be logged out of Internshala and redirected to the log-in page (this ensures the security of your account)

    5. You are expected to log-in from your old email id and the password. Once you log in, your email id will be updated

  2. For app users- We do not have the option of ‘update email address’ for the app users. You can drop a query here from the new email id, copying the current one (the id with which you are registered) and send it to us. We will update the account.


Q. I have wrongly registered as an employer/ student. What to do?

A. Please drop a query here from the registered email address. We will delete the account.

Q. I want to delete my Internshala account.

1. For web users
  • Click on the icon (first letter of your name) in the top right corner of the page.

  • Then, click on More > Manage Account > Delete My Account. 

  • After this, a link will be sent to your registered email address. Once you click on the link, your Internshala account will be deleted.

2. For app users-  

You can drop a query here from your registered email address and we will delete your account.


Q. I want to apply for the internship again in which I got rejected.

A. You cannot apply for the same internship again for which your application has been rejected. Please apply for the other internships and improve the chances of getting hired.


Q. I have subscribed to Internshala. But not getting emails regularly.
To receive internship alerts regularly from Internshala, please update your preferences. Only active students receive the alerts.
Q. How to search for internships in my preferred category/ location?
A.  Click here to see the list of all the internships available. Refine your search by using the filter option according to your internship preferences (category, location, duration etc.) to find internships of your interest.

  1. For desktop/laptop users - the filter option will be on the left side of the page.

  2. For mobile users – the filter option will be on the top of the page.


Q. I can't find internships of my preference even after searching for it using the search bar.
A. If you're still not able to find internships of your preference,  even after searching for it in the search bar, then it is possible that we don't have internships in that particular category/ location currently. However, hundreds of internships are posted on our platform across various categories/locations every day. So, we suggest you keep checking our platform time to time to see if internships are available in your preferred category/location or not.

Also, you can subscribe to our weekly digest and we will send you a list of the latest internships available (please make sure you have filled-in your preferences and city in which you want an internship while registering/signing-up).


Q. What is work from home internship?
A.  In a ‘work from home’ internship you don’t have to go to an office to work. You can work from the comfort of your home. The employer will send you all the work through emails or in some cases over internet-based text message applications along with the date of submission of the work. You can choose your work hours (unless asked by the employer to work on specific hours) and then submit the work to the employer through the email or to any other channel the employer may have asked you to upload it too.

Q. Can I apply for an internship on Internshala if I am still pursuing my degree/ undergraduate/ postgraduate/ working professional?
A.  Yes, of course, you can apply for the internships on Internshala. We are open to all. There’s no restriction in the form of age, degree, etc. in order to apply for internships on Internshala.

Q. Do I need to pay in order to apply for the internships on Internshala?

A. Absolutely not! It’s a free platform. You need not pay anything to apply for the internships.


Q. What is a Campus Ambassador program?

A.  A campus ambassador is the face and voice of the company in his/her campus. As a campus ambassador, you will be responsible for organizing various marketing and promotional activities such as hosting workshops, seminars, social media promotions, and so on.

Q. I am an international student. Can I apply for the internships on Internshala?

A. Yes, you can apply for the internships on Internshala. The details regarding visa and accommodation would be given by the employer once you are hired for the internship.

Q. I have applied for the internship but have not received a reply from the employer yet. What should I do now?

A. Usually, it takes 2-3 weeks for the employer to go through all the applications and select the shortlisted applicants. However, it is possible that if you don’t get a response from the employer within this period or your application status remains ‘Applied’ or ‘Seen’ then, it is best that you apply for other internships as sometimes the employer might not contact the applicants who have not been selected for the internship.


Q. What does the status ‘Applied’ mean?

A. It means that you have successfully applied for the internship and your application has been shared with the employer.


Q. What does the status ‘Seen’ mean?

A. It means that your application has been seen by the employer and they will get in touch with you if they like your application.


Q. What does the status ‘In-Touch’ mean?

A. It means that the employer has sent you a message regarding the further procedure required in the selection process. Please check your chatbox after logging to your Internshala account and respond accordingly. 

Q. What does the application status 'Under Review' mean?
Congratulations! You have moved a step closer to being selected for the internship. The employer has considered your application for the further rounds of the selection process. 

Q. What does the status ‘Hired’ mean?

A. It means that you have been hired for the internship and the employer will get in touch with you regarding the details of the internship or you may also get in touch with them at the contact details sent to your email. Congratulations!


Q. What does the status ‘Not Selected’ mean?
A. It means that unfortunately, your application was rejected and you have not been selected for the internship. We suggest you improve your applications and keep applying for various other internships to increase your chances of getting hired.

Q. What does the status ‘Inactive’ mean?

A. It means that the internship was removed from our website as it was found to be violating our policies. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.


Q. I am rejected for one of the internships I applied. What to do?

A. Sorry to hear that! Please keep on applying for more internships so that the chances of getting an internship is improved.

Also, make sure that your Internshala profile is complete.  It enhances the visibility of your profile and improves the chances of getting shortlisted for an internship.

On the application part, frame a better answer for the question, 'why should you be hired for this internship?'. An effective answer to this question will significantly improve your chances of landing the internship.You may visit here for the tips to make a better application.

Q. I am hired for the internship/ have started working, but still my application status is applied/ rejected?

A. Don’t worry! Please drop a query here and we will update the status to ‘Hired’. And please don’t forget to attach the offer letter given by the company.


Q. I have a query regarding the Internshala Student Partner (ISP) 12 program.
1. ISP 12 program is Internshala's Campus Ambassador Program.

2. The results for ISP 12 program have been announced on 4 December 2018. Please check your email for further details if you have applied for it.

3. The applications for the ISP 12 program are now closed. You can apply for the ISP 13 program which will be launched in February 2019. Click here for more details!
Q. I have completed my internship but haven't received my stipend/ certificate of completion. What do I do?

A. In that case, please write an email to the employer regarding the issue and also try to connect with them over phone or text messages. If you do not get a response within 2-3 days or the employer refuses to give you the stipend or completion certificate, then drop a query  here regarding the same and also attach your offer letter and the email/text conversation you were having with the employer so that we can go through the issue and take necessary actions.


Q. The stipend/ profile mentioned on Internshala and the stipend mentioned in the offer letter do not match. Should I continue with the internship?

A. If you come across any such incident where the stipend/ profile mentioned on Internshala and the offer letter do not match, then, please drop a query  here regarding the same and also attach the offer letter along with the email/text conversation between you and the employer so that we can go through the issue and take necessary actions. However, if you want to continue with the internship and accept the offer made by the employer then you may do so at your own risk.


Q. The employer is asking for money/security deposit/bond for the internship I have applied through Internshala. What should I do?

A. Please do not pay anything to the employer as it is strictly against the policy of Internshala to charge students for the internship. Drop a query here regarding the issue and attach the offer letter along with the email/text message conversation with the employer so that we go through the issue and take necessary actions. 

We recommend you do not continue with the internship until the issue is resolved, however, if you still want to do the internship then, you may proceed at your own risk. We will not be responsible if any problem arises during the internship.


Q. I have been hired for the internship but the employer is not replying to my emails or calls. What do I do now?

A. Please try to follow-up with the employer after some time. If you are still not able to establish a contact, please drop a query here and we will look into the issue and will try to contact the employer from our end.

Also, ensure that you are contacted by the employer before being hired for the internship (interviewed or given an assignment).


Q. The assignment given to me by the employer is too long. What should I do?

A. Please write to the employer regarding this and seek clarity. If you do not get any positive response, please let us know.

Q. I have registered on Internshala but unable to verify my account.
A. Please check your spam folder too for the verification link.  If you are still unable to find it or are not able to verify the account, drop a query here regarding the same and we will verify your account

Q. I am facing a technical issue and not able to access my account on Internshala.
A. Please try opening the website in Chrome/ Mozilla and in incognito mode. In case you are using browsers like Internet Explorer, UC, or Safari, then chances are high that the error will come. It's recommended to use Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for a better user experience.

Also, try pressing Ctrl+Shift+R keys to clear web browsing cache.

Q. I am not receiving the weekly digest/internship alerts on my email.
If you are not receiving our weekly digest/internship alerts then, please login to your account and check if you have updated your preferences (category, city and type) accordingly or not? If the preferences have been updated then, you will start receiving the digest within a week. In case, you still do not receive it within a week of updating the preferences then, please drop a query here and we will look into it.
