About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Research potential vendors and conduct market research to identify the best pricing
2. Work directly with suppliers to obtain bids on new RFQs
3. Update internal databases with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, and discounts)
4. Evaluate offers from vendors, negotiate better prices, and resolve their issues and queries
5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and obtain competitive quotes from Pan-India vendors
6. Follow up with suppliers to confirm or change orders
7. Coordinate with other departments for the purchase of specialized materials or equipment

Who can apply

1. Candidates with minimum 2 years of experience.

Other requirements

1. Engineering graduate (mandatory)

2. MBA (preferred)

3. 2+ years of experience in procurement

4. Experience as a Purchasing Assistant/Officer/Executive

5. Good understanding of supply chain procedures and the procure-to-pay cycle

6. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

7. Knowledge of market research and CRM

8. Strong organizational skills

9. Fluency in Hindi and English

10. Mumbai-based

11. Proficiency in negotiations, follow-ups, and liaising

12. Ability to analyze data, find root causes, make sense of insights, and suggest process improvement actions
